Family FAQ

You asked:

I heard most new computers or accessories come with a rebate. How can I make sure I get some cash back with my purchase?

The Online Family answers:

When you're shopping for a new computer or accessory -- such as a printer, digital camera or scanner -- many manufacturers do offer rebates these days. If you're shopping in a store, check near the pricing information on the shelf for any rebate coupons. Or once you get home and start setting up your new computer or gadget, you'll often be prompted to register the product online. After registration, search the web site for any additional rebate offers. When shopping online, current rebates are usually featured fairly prominently. To redeem a rebate, you'll always need to provide at least two things: proof of purchase and the product serial number.
